Description
Brynje original Super Thermo (ST) mesh is made from 100% Schoeller® Polycolon® synthetic yarn, knitted into a 3/8″ open weave mesh that provides 4 to 6 times the insulating power of any solid knit by weight. The polypropylene yarn absorbs virtually no moisture while the mesh design allows perspiration to pass through the garment in vapor form. Nothing wet against the skin!
Polypropylene also has a very high strength to weight ratio providing super light garments designed to withstand years of extreme use. Brynje Super Thermo base layers have been used extensively in expedition work and are worn by Special Forces troops across the globe. Brynje ST garments are not just ideal for high intensity, cold weather activities. Because of the thermostatic qualities of the mesh, these base layer garments are exceptional for warm weather use as well. “Making the case for synthetic mesh base layers.”

All sizes are averages and approximate. Your size may vary depending based on your body shape and the model.
Mesh base layers are generally quite stretchy in all directions and are cut long. As the girth increases the length will decrease
Generally the Women’s sizes will be one size smaller than Unisex. I.E. a Unisex SM is equivalent to a Women’s MD.
Laundry Instructions
Wool is a natural fiber which does not to be laundered regularly. A global wardrobe survey in 2015 by AC Nielsen confirmed that wool garments have a longer life than cotton – as much as 50% longer. Merino wool can be worn multiple time between washings which will prolong the garment life and protect the environment. The synthetic fibers like Schoeller® Polycolon can be machine washed and hung to dry.
Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle with cool water (not to exceed 85°F).
Line dry. Do not tumble dry.
Do not use bleach.
Do not use fabric softener.
Do not dry clean.

It fits me well, both the girth of the legs and the waist. Waistband is nice: fairly wide and elastic, not too loose or too tight. I bought these more for warm weather than cold, and wish the central “wind cover” were less warm than it is. Otherwise, I like it.

Wearing is believing! After seeing ads for these products in Outside and Cross Country Skier magazines, I finally “took a chance” on these products. I really didn’t take a chance because Brynje USA provides superior customer service. I purchased these shorts, the Thermo Tee with inlay, and the Super Micro Tee. Each of these products have dramatically improved my comfort in outdoor activities. I do wish these had a “fly,” but that is not a huge deal. Because I roller ski, I wear a pair of protective shorts which adds and extra layer under my outer layer. I previously wore thin merino boxers under those shorts. Sweating is going to happen down there, but when stationary for long, or when mountain biking way out in the woods, a chill will hit you after a 10-minute stop. These boxers are a big improvement over the merino! When ski season gets here, it will be these boxers under my long underwear (no need for protective shorts) My use has been limited to late autumn and temperatures ranging from damp and 40 F, to 18 F and windy. Activities have been mountain biking, running, roller skiing, and for periods of two hours. These products perform exactly as described. If you are active, they won’t stop you from sweating, but they manage moisture to stop the chill. Also — and this is key — I have used and love merino base and mid-layers. The Brynje products as the next to skin layer makes merino, and every part of your layering system work better. I am certain these products will continue to serve me well when I am mountain biking, snowshoeing or skiing with temps below 0 F. Next season, I will buy the 3/4 length pant with wind block, and buy these products for my kids who are mountain-sports enthusiasts.

I like using these mesh boxers as a base layer for heavy winter activities. They are fairly comfortable under thermal leggings.
