Keeps me warm and breathes well, shirt is not sticking to me with sweat.

  2. Ivo Z. (verified owner)

Awesome product + fast delivery! Already used as a base layer for hiking, snowboarding and mountain biking and couldn’t be happier!

    Amazing!

  4. Thomas ONeill (verified owner)

The product is great. I unfortunately, being the silly goose that I am, threw it in the washer and dryer. It shrunk a lot so I’m trying stretch it back to its former glory!

  5. Ponyboy (verified owner)

Warm but doesn’t make you sweat

  6. Steffen (verified owner)

nice new discovery, it shed a lot of wool at the beginning though.

  7. Michael Wagenseil (verified owner)

Well. I still get awfully sweaty/wet while running. Not as much XC skiing. I imagine the (warm layer) theory works better when its super cold. I have been using in single digits/teens. Have not washed yet but noticed product will shrink a bit even getting sweaty and drying out odd. I will hand wash and dry/hang in the way that it may stretch. Will see. Appears durable and well made

Switching from solid wool base layer to this mesh has reduced the amount of sweat accumulation. It has helped with extending rides in cold temperatures 30-10 F with a shell. Good addition to the gear.

  9. Elwood (verified owner)

Excellent quality built base layer. I run hot and sweat out my base layers quite quickly and find that this mesh layer helps me to dry quicker. While nothing I’ve found is perfect this mesh layer helps.

    Warm and light, reduces sweating.

  12. Deborah N. (verified owner)

Fits so well (unisex XS) and is so soft and warm. Best longies Ive found

  13. Fred (verified owner)

Very nice but just a tad cooler than expected

  14. Robert (verified owner)

Just finished a week long backcountry elk hunt an the wool thermal light shirt worked great. Using it with a light merino shirt Added an extra light layer for warmth without bull. Alone by itself on the warm days hiking stayed dry. I’d recommend it.

  15. Charles (verified owner)

Awesome light weight, extremely comfortable base layer:)

  16. Laura Osborne (verified owner)

This was a gift for my husband who is an avid cyclist. He absolutely loves it for his winter rides!

  17. Jean-Claude Roget (verified owner)

It work s just as describe. When to the mountain and it kept me warm.

  18. Kevin (verified owner)

The perfect under layer for cold weather cycling. You are warm even when sweating. It allows the moisture to come off your skin. Light weight. Comfortable. Arm length is more than enough. Torso long enough to tuck in. I got an xl and I have 44” chest and 34” sleeve length. Going to get more.

Only worn it a couple of times (got in the spring) but I can tell it’s going to work great just like the other Brynje baselayers have. The mesh is a little tighter than a previous buy but has the same effect as the l/s shirts w/ slightly larger openings. I had experience in Norwegian cold weather training w/ similar garment (although not as good as this one) but kind of forgot about the effectiveness of these designs but re-discovered them and I can’t get enough of them. Such a simple design and concept you almost can’t explain why you didn’t think of it before. Get one, you will not regret it.

Having owned several of the “standard” wool thermo tops, I was looking for something that felt more comfortable after many hours under a big pack. Similarly, I wanted to be able to wear the base-layer alone when conditions warmed-up. This top excels in both contexts AND I find that it layers better under a 250 merino top in general. You get the classic Brynje functionality in a more comfortable weave, especially in areas prone to compression like under pack straps and along the lumbar pad. Dry, comfy, warm when you need it…why buy anything else?

  21. Joe Williamson (verified owner)

Durable, accurate sizing, sleeves long enough. The mesh allows better warmth AND cooling than similar weight solid garment.

They work and in my opinion better than other base layers on the market. I was skeptical until I tried them. Now I’ve got the tops, bottoms and socks. Kinda wish I knew about them when I was in the Army, it would have made cold weather training more bearable.

The synthetic fibers like Schoeller® Polycolon can be machine washed and hung to dry.
